Service area
Where we work
Seven communities across Barrie and Simcoe County. They are on three different distribution utilities and they have genuinely different electrical problems — which is why each one has its own page rather than a swapped place name.
The utility matters more than people expect. A service upgrade needs a disconnect booked with whoever distributes power to that address, and Barrie, Innisfil and the rural townships are three different answers. Getting it wrong costs a day.
-
Barrie
Barrie is a century of housing stock stacked into one city, and the electrical work splits almost perfectly by neighbourhood.
-
Innisfil
Innisfil is not on Alectra — it has its own utility, and that changes how service work gets scheduled.
-
Stroud
A small community on the Innisfil side of the boundary, which puts it on InnPower rather than Alectra.
-
Oro-Medonte
Rural township on Hydro One, where long overhead runs and well-and-septic properties change what matters.
-
Springwater
Elmvale, Minesing, Anten Mills and Hillsdale — Hydro One territory, mixed rural and estate-lot residential.
-
Midhurst
Immediately north of Barrie, but on Hydro One — and largely estate lots on well and septic.
-
Angus & Alliston
Two communities in Essa and New Tecumseth — and, unusually, they sit on different utilities.
Not sure if you're in the area?
Call and ask. If you are outside what we cover we will say so rather than book you in and cancel — and we can usually point you at someone local who does cover it.
